Outdoor Surfacing
These surfacing's are designed to give the following benefits:
- It drains freely, allowing pleasurable riding all year round.
- It has a low frost penetration factor.
- It is sound and stable underfoot, giving minimal lateral movement under hoof impact while retaining a shock absorbent cushioning effect at the same time.
- It has a low maintenance factor.
- It is a totally natural organic product, having no added chemicals.
- Animal physiotherapists believe it is very easy to move on, causing fewer injuries and improved recuperation times.
- Available ex-stock at all times.
- Extremely economical when compared to other surfaces.
- If sub-base is correctly laid, there is no need for a membrane, thus eliminating a possible trip hazard and saving unnecessary expense.
- Our outdoor material is made from 8mm-10mm sized particles, giving THE BEST POSSIBLE interlocking capabilities and longer life.
Economy Outdoor
For use in private yards, usually for the owners exclusive use.
Usually darker in colour than the professional grade material, but with all the qualities listed above.
Professional Outdoor
Made from high quality recycled timber and recommended in commercial yards which are open to members of the public for livery or schooling.
Again, all the qualities listed above are included.
The main difference between the indoor and outdoor surfacing is that where the outdoor material is designed to be free-draining, the indoor material is designed to retain some moisture to avoid having to irrigate so often.
Irrigation is necessary directly after the surface has been laid, to allow the particles to interlock, and thereafter as required.
The floor of the building below the material is a big factor in determining how often irrigation needs to take place, but once a week during summer months should be more than adequate.
Economy Indoor
As with the outdoor material, the Economy Indoor tends to be slightly darker in colour than the Professional Indoor.
Again, this is due to a more mixed raw material than the higher grade, but the performance will be none the worse because of this.
Similar performance to the outdoor material can be expected.
Professional Outdoor
This is a high quality material again designed for commercial yards.
